Schott Solar explores the government’s new feed-in tariff

With the consultation period for the Clean Energy Cashback scheme drawing to a close, Schott Solar hosted an event exploring the detail surrounding the imminent feed-in tariff (to be established in law by April 2010), the proposed tariff levels, return on investment and what this will mean to those looking towards renewable energy.

Held in the stylish Material Lab in London, the event was opened with an address by David Kidney, Stafford MP and Parliamentary under Secretary of State for the Department of Energy and Climate Change, followed by detail of the tariffs levels for solar PV by Schott Solar’s MD, John Meadows.

It was great to see so many of the press make it out on a Monday - with Architecture Today, HABM, HA, Electrical Times, Electrical Engineering, Professional Electrician, LABM, PSLG, PHPD, Building Products and Energy World all attending. The interest from the editors, combined with the fact that the feed-in-tariff will potentially generate a huge boost to renewable energy sources, led to a very lively and engaging event!
